Meeting at Strawberry Square Clubhouse

Note: our meeting location will not be on the Apple Campus, but instead will be at the Strawberry Square Clubhouse for Monday, February 15.

map of Strawberry Square area

Here are driving directions.

1. Take highway 280 to the Saratoga Avenue exit, in San Jose.

2. Exit south onto Saratoga Avenue.

3. Drive 500 feet, and take the first right hand turn onto Moorpark Avenue.

4. Drive about 1/4 mile down Moorpark, and take the right hand turn onto Junipero Serra Lane. The SVMUG sign will be at the intersection of Moorpark Avenue and Junipero Serra Lane.

5. The clubhouse is just 100 feet ahead, where the lane curves and intersects Strawberry Lane.

6. Parking at the clubhouse is limited. You may have to park along Moorpark Avenue, and walk to the Clubhouse.

7. Do not park on a red curb. If you do, you will be ticketed or towed.

If you wish to use a car GPS system, I suggest entering the address of "Strawberry Lane and Junipero Serra Lane, San Jose, CA".

Meeting Location to Change

Due to a policy change by Apple, user groups will no longer be able to hold meetings on the Apple Campus in Cupertino. As a result, we are in need of a new meeting space. Volunteers are investigating a number of possibilities. When we do find a new location, the information will be posted to the mailing list and to here.

Announcement of January 18 2010 meeting

Join us in the second decade of the second millennium (per common notions of the era). Come hear Ziv Gillet talk about the Eye-Fi product. This is a memory card that fits in your camera. But it is not just memory - it includes WiFi so that you can have wireless uploading of your photos direct to your computer!

See it at the vendor's web site www.eye.fi

(BTW, I think they get the nod for the coolest use of a national top level domain as part of a product web site.)
