HELP need keyboard membrane!

I told my girlfriend I could ‘fix anything’ when she spilled coffee on her iMac keyboard. Does anyone know where I can buy a membrane for A1048 keyboard (white with clear case)? —- I know they only cost $50, but it’s way beyond that now— a personal crusade

Bob

iMac G4 Stuck on blue screen!

Hello everyone! I’m new here and I hope I am following the guidelines. If I’m not, please let me know.
I have the flat screen iMac G4 (it’s the one on the half dome)and I am running 10.4.9. In the past year 3 times my computer has gotten stuck on the gray screen with apple and turning gear at boot up, all 3 times, it was fixed by wonderful Mac people I have met. And, I believe all 3 times it was fixed with Disc Warrior. (Of which I don’t have)
A few days ago, it went past the gray screen, flashed quickly from black to blue, my curser went up to the top left corner and the screen remained blue and blank, after a minute or so I again saw the turning gear. And that’s it, it just stays there.

Erase Hard Drive on 540c

I have 2 old 540c powerbooks. I would like to erase the hard drives and get rid of them. When I power them up I get a screen that says that they weren’t backed up since 1997 and it won’t let me go any farther. Is there any way to format on startup. I am sure that there is a key combination, but it is so long since I have used them that I forgot.

Regards, Steve Pollock

Apple patents for a tablet computer

Here is a link to some recently released patents Apple has filed for tablet Mac features. You can use multiple fingers to make gestures (no, not that one…)

http://hrmpf.com/wordpress/48/new-apple-patents/

FYI: One year after an application for a patent is filed, the application, including the description, becomes a public domain document.
